The backbone of LCIF, MJF
1973 - 2008 makes 35 years

The MJF is an award for his commitment to humanitarian service. The MJF is the highest award of the Foundation and recognizes humanitarian qualities such as generosity, compassion and interest for others. The MJF began in 1973 and was renamed in honor of Melvin Jones, the founder of Lions Clubs International.
The MJF can be granted only to individuals.
The MJF can be given in memory of a deceased person.
The MJF may not be granted to a Club, District or Group. The first
MJF has been granted in the year 1973 - 1974 Lions William G. Clayton, Florida, and Dr. Luciano Nunziata, Bari, Italy. The beneficiaries of
MJF are invited to attend the lunch, "Melvin Jones Fellows Luncheon" during the International Convention. MJF
names appear on a list of donors displayed in rotation MJF on the computer room at the headquarters. For more information MJF
